Who Can Apply? Check Your Eligibility
Before you begin, ensure you fit the following criteria. The cut-off date for all eligibility is 31st August 2025.
1. Educational Qualification
The qualification depends on the trade you are applying for:
- Technician Apprentice (Mech/Elect/Instru.): Full-time Diploma in the relevant engineering discipline with min. 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
- Trade Apprentice (HR/Accountant): Full-time Graduation degree (B.Com for Accountant) with min. 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
- Data Entry Operator: 12th Pass (but not a graduate). For Skill Certificate holders, a ‘Domestic Data Entry Operator’ certificate is required.
Note: Candidates with BE/B.Tech, MBA, or other higher professional degrees are NOT eligible.
2. Age Limit (as on 31-08-2025)
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 24 years
Age Relaxation:
- OBC (NCL): +3 years
- SC/ST: +5 years
- PwBD: +10 years
Stipend and Selection Process
Stipend Details
Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend as per the Apprentices Act and IOCL guidelines. For technical and graduate apprentice roles, the stipend is typically very attractive and can be up to ₹90,000 per year.
Selection Methodology
The selection is merit-based. There will be NO written exam or interview.
- A merit list will be prepared based on the percentage of marks in your essential qualification (Diploma/Graduation/12th).
- In case of a tie, the candidate older in age will be ranked higher.
